With views over the local valley, from which you can see the Cheviots on a clear day, is our B&B suite 'The Healing'
at Hadrian Therapies & Spa.
Close to all the local Roman sites of interest, this handy stop along Hadrian's Wall, comes complete with en suite Sauna.
An outdoor Hot Tub is available for you to take in the fantastic local Dark Skies (close to Kielder Forest Park's famous observatory). You could book your stay to coincide with a meteor shower; or find yourself here on a winter's night when the Northern Lights appear.
A Meditation Garden with Koi fish nestling below a miniature waterfall awaits those looking for a peaceful escape. You'll always find sanctuary in the cosy conservatory on rainy days with views out over the garden.
During your stay you're welcome to book in a treatment – with plenty of specialist Physiotherapy, Cranioscaral Therapy, Massage and Alternative Therapy on hand to soothe away any aches or pains from your travels.
All our Therapists are Registered Physiotherapists, Craniosacral Therapists and Sports Massage Therapists
who also work in the NHS or privately within their own field.

Local Walks
Stunning local walks exist in abundance, from coastal routes to dramatic forests or countryside. Several lakes & reservoirs, waterfalls & Bluebell Woods to be found
within 10 miles.
We are close to Corstopitum (6m) & Chesters (7m) on Hadrian's Wall. Drop off & Collection for walkers
by arrangement.
Anne, your host, will be happy to discuss local hidden gems!
Cultural Sites
Heritage sites are plentifully scattered around Northumberland.
Within 15 miles we have Hexham Abbey, Belsay Hall Gardens & Castle, Houghton Castle and Wallington.
Local Hadrian's Wall sites include Chesters, a Mithraic Temple, Housesteads, Vindolanda & Walltown Crags. Sycamore Gap (Robin Hood's Tree) also has a new Visitor Centre nearby at The Sill, beside the popular Twice Brewed Inn.

Hexham Races & Corbridge Show
Hexham's annual Round Table Bonfire & Stunning Fireworks Display, with local kettledrum band.
Christmas Events including Mince Pies, Carols & Shopping in Corbridge & the Choir at Hexham Abbey with Christmas Market (including live Reindeer!).
Festival of Light at 'Enchanted Belsay'.
The Queens Hall Theatre & Forum Cinema at Hexham have events year round.
Local Castles & Most Haunted!
Northumberland boasts more castles than anywhere else in Britain! 70 castle sites remain as legacy of our turbulent past with the Border Wars of the 14th & 16th Centuries.
Locally we have Aydon, Chipchase, Belsay, Bywell, Houghton, Dilston & Halton Castle (Pele Tower).
One hours' drive will take you to the Most Haunted Castle in the UK - Chillingham, with fantastic Ghost Tours! Bamburgh, Dunstanburgh & Warkworth Castles are also stunning and close to the Harry Potter Scene & Treehouse Cafe at Alnwick Castle.
Boat Tours, Seals & Birds Safari
Farne Islands or Holy Island Boat Tours leave from Seahouses (3 miles from Bamburgh Castle, with stunning white sandy beaches!).
Depending on the season, birds that live on the islands include Puffins, Gannets, Kittiwakes, Arctic terns, Eider Ducks & Cormorants.
Dolphins, Seals & Basking Sharks are regularly sighted.
Seals are abundant and you usually spot these on every trip - some of which offer Swimming with Seals - wetsuit provided!
Horse Riding, Golf, Surfing & 'Go Ape!'
Sinderhope Pony Trekking Centre is 40 minutes away or you can gallop on the beach alongside Bamburgh Castle from Slate Hall Riding Centre.
Within 10 miles we have the annual Belsay Horse Trials. An indoor arena for individual lessons is located at local Parkend Equestrian Training Centre.
Surfing clubs & classes are abundant along the North East Coast.
'Go Ape' is only 5 miles away at Matfen, next to Maften Hall's popular Golf Course.
